Feeding My Creative Soul

I am starting to feel creative again.  I am itching to scrap, photograph, write.  All my scrapbooking stuff is in storage, but before I can get it out I have to sort out what is here already into new homes in my new craft room, which I share with the kids and their computer desks.  The Man still needs to complete building one of my units and finish off the kids areas, but the rest is up to me.

Today I went onto an online scrap store and filled the shopping cart with delicious goodies.  I haven't even looked in a shop for about 10 months!  I had no time and nowhere to scrap, and for a while there no desire, so there didn't seem a point.  I haven't checked out yet, I'm umming and ahhhing, but it was fun for a while, and certainly got my mojo cranking!

Meanwhile I have been keeping myself up at night and part of the day as well writing my novel, which in it's new form is coming along very well.  I absolutely love writing at the moment.  When I was younger I was never satisfied with it and would never get very far.  I love how my characters and the story take on a life of their own, sometimes surprising me with the way they react, the things they say and the direction they go in.  I have the same eagerness to write and find out what will happen next as I do when I read a new book!

I have been continuing with my 365 Documenting the Everyday photo challenge however so far have only used my iPhone (Hipstamatic app) but on the weekend if the weather is kind the kids and I are going on a drive and a picnic and I plan on finding some good locations for photo shoots.  I think I'll even take a few props with me for fun!

I suppose I should be stressing that housework is not getting done, but with the builders creating new layers of dust every day and traipsing dirt in there seems no point!  The washing is up to date even if the ironing isn't.  And the kids and I are having a bit of fun together, and that's all that really matters isn't it?

So whether you cook, blog, sew, quilt, paint, scrap, write, photograph, draw, design, garden, decorate or play, I hope you take some time to feed your soul and indulge in your own creativity this week!

Cheers!
Tracey xx
