After aborting our first attempt at a drive to the country (i.e. 5mins away LOL!) for a location photo shoot, due to weather (which was lucky since we had a vicious hail storm in the afternoon), the kids and I headed off yesterday. We drove through the new suburbs and onto the dirt road, out to Sutton, around to the Federal Highway and home. We stopped in Sutton when we found a nice area that wasn't fenced and pulled out all our props for a fun photo shoot. Even Ronin joined in wholeheartedly, so I got some great shots of him for a change! Unfortunately he has inherited his mother's affliction of being unable to open his eyes for a camera, so there are a LOT of dud shots, thank goodness for digital photography!
We had been collecting props all week. We took a wood & leather bench from home, The Man's old Akubra and an antique book, some "Geek Glasses" (made by popping the plastic out of 3D glasses!), some shabby chic style mini-suitcases, a foot stool, a couple of throw rugs, some flowers and different outfits. We took a few other things we didn't use but I took 350 shots so we did OK!
We all had so much fun, the kids would have kept going if it wasn't that the weather looked like it was closing in, I was almost out of memory, and I was exhausted!
I stayed up late editing, because I love looking at the photos when I first take them, so I'l share a few here. Thanks for looking!
Cheers,
Tracey xx
