Drama Queen & Wizard Boy

Ever since she was tiny Taylor has wanted to be a performer when she grows up.  Of course she also wanted to be a Princess!  But she has been taking dance classes since she was 3 years old, participated in dancing and singing competitions for many years, had singing lessons since she was 8, did two years of guitar, is learning keyboard, has taken a number of drama classes and performed in community theatre.  She won a Performing Arts award when she graduated from Primary School and has taken drama and dance electives there, as well as performing in inter-school dance spectaculars.  This week she is participating in the National Institute of Dramatic Arts (NIDA) summer touring program in their Drama School for 12-15yo at the Canberra Theatre.  She completed the junior version a few years ago and has been dying to do it again.  Coincidentally she has the same teacher, whom she just loves, and she has made friends with all the kids in her class.  Tonight the local news aired a report on the class and featured her a number of times including her big dramatic moment during an acting exercise.  It was very exciting and we are SO proud of her!  She is in bed now poring over her class notes and hand-outs.  The only downside is she has promised to take Daddy to the Oscars, and not me.  Damn!  I really wanted to meet George Clooney......

This morning before dropping her off in town I took a few quick shots, she looked so pretty with her hair curled.  I also managed to get one or two almost-decent shots of Ronin for a change, including some playing with Taylor's Harry Potter wand (he is always trying to get his hands on that!).  So here are my little pretties!

Cheers!
TRACEY xx

PS.  Happy Australia Day for yesterday!
