Why is it so?

It was the Year 7 Science Fair on Thursday so our home has been a flurry of scientific experiments the last few weeks, although, of course, in true Taylor fashion, it wasn't finished until the morning of the Fair, with Mummy helping out!  Taylor decided on the ever-popular Mentos+Diet Coke Geyser.  Many bottles of soft drink and packets of mints later she had a Slide Show and poster all ready to go, bowls of Mentos and cups of Diet Coke to give out on the day.

There were many Mentos/Soda experiments on the day, but none of them came up with the same result as Taylor.  She had a very unique approach!  Let me show you:

1.  SHE DROPPED MENTOS INTO A BOTTLE OF DIET COKE

2. THEN SHE DROPPED MENTOS-SIZED STONES INTO A BOTTLE OF DIET COKE

Bet you didn't see that coming did you?

They both had a similar reaction and had the same amount of liquid left afterwards.

So how cool is that?  Well done Tay!  All the experiments were terrific, the kids did an amazing job, and Ronin loved seeing them all as well, especially the "cool" ones like the Bottle Rocket, the Bouncing Eggs and the Balloon Hovercraft.

I also did a challenge last week for The Color Room.  These are my favourite challenges, the colour combos are always so delicious.  The new one for this week is delicious greens and pink and white.  I can't wait to start on it!

Thanks for joining me!

Cheers,
Tracey xx
