A bit late I know but perhaps we should have started our own political party. Our policies could include no tax on crafting supplies (wouldn't that save us a bomb!), one day every week to be devoted entirely to art and crafts, all art and craft supplies tax deductible, and no discrimination against those of different craft persuasions! Hee hee! I hope you all took your democratic right seriously today when voting for our next government. Despite the 3 ring circus that led up to this election, not enrolling to vote (voting is compulsory here in Australia), making a blank or donkey vote or voting for "The Sex Party" or something equally ridiculous standing in your electorate is a waste of your vote and only results in perhaps some idiot getting a seat in parliament. Remember you vote for your local representative and it in your best interests to understand what he or she is offering your community as well as what the party policies themselves. When things go awry or you're not happy with our government, if you have not made a bona fide vote today, you have no right to complain.
Dismounting my soapbox now LOL! I spent the afternoon scrapbooking! I did my first challenge for Creative Prompts For You . This is the inspirational piece they posted:
And this is my layout, using another photo taken by Taylor of herself on Photo Booth on her computer. I love her little private photo shoot pics. I thought the funky look suited the layout.
OK, well I can smell dinner cooking. Yes, my teenager is cooking dinner all by herself tonight, she is making a pasta bake and with bacon, mushroom and onion, and is making bechamel sauce from scratch. After dinner I will be watching the AFL on Foxtel, and popping over to check up on the election results through the evening, although I don't expect an early result. I hope whomever gets in makes some good decisions for our country, it's all out of our hands now.
Cheers,
Tracey xx
