A Clean Slate.....

You know that term "A Clean Slate..." refers to a nice clean blackboard, ready to write on, and I know that feeling.  A crisp piece of paper, ready to become a letter, a story, a drawing, a piece of art.  A piece of fabric or ball of wool aching to be made into something amazing.  A scrap room overflowing with mess, products laying in unsorted piles barely leaving space to create a layout, drawers, cupboards, folders and storage boxes crammed with things (untouched in years in some cases!), and too hard to find when you want them, can totally kill your creative energy.

I regularly "clean up" my scrap desk but that is an inadequate description of what I have just completed.  I sorted EVERY piece, no matter how tiny.  Each piece or scrap of paper or cardstock.  Each sticker, diecut, rub-on, stamp, punch, inkpad, flower, ribbon, chipboard and embellishment.  Now there is a place for everything, everything IS in it's place and now I know exactly what I have and where it is!!  I have 3 boxes of goodies for Mum's retirement village craft group, 3 bags of magazines for the local elderly citizens craft group, I have half filled the recycling bin and one of the rubbish bins as well!

Best of all, Chris can now fit into HIS side of our hobby room, his model train area!  In between our areas there IS a mini Great Wall of archive boxes full of filing to be sorted, but I will get to it!  In the meantime, I am ACHING to create!!  I love my scrap room, and I love my layout for my second challenge on The Color Room!  (And another challenge LO to share tomorrow....!)

Cheers!
Tracey xx
