HAPPY NEW YEAR

THE LAST OF MY CHALLENGE PHOTOS

Firstly, let me say I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, we were so busy I didn't have time to blog, my parents were here and the time went in a blur.  I miss them already!  We had a lovely Christmas Day, lots of yummy food - roast pork and crackling, ham, lobster, prawns and oysters, baked potatoes, salad and garlic Turkish bread.  We had leftovers for dinner and it wasn't until then we had room for dessert - my homemade plum pudding, and an icecream and lolly pudding as well!  We had lots of great presents, I got some accessories for my iPhone, the Twilight book, lots of Lindt chocolate and Darrell Lea liquorice, a fantastic scrapbooking idea book, a terrific book on digital photography and best of all my beautiful Pandora bracelet (I just realised I need to take a photograph of it!) and charms from Chris (a gorgeous gem-encrusted flower), Sandra (an Aries charm) and the kids (a boy charm from Ronin and a girl charm from Taylor) so I have a great start!!!

Chris loved his Red Dwarf DVDs, paintball voucher, book and chockies, Sandra loved her big photo frame with all the family in it, the photo coffee mug from the kids, the I Dream of Jeannie DVD and the magnet sheepskin matress protector.  The kids got lots of loot from Santa and family.  From us Taylor got her Hannah Montana guitar, a case and stand, picks and music songbooks on Hannah Montana and Camp Rock.  Santa gave her pink high-top Converse, lots of clothes, Disney Singit, and a heap of Hannah Montana stuff.  Ronin got from us a Lego robot kit (to do with daddy, they've made one already!) and from Santa he got a remote control 4WD, a Ben 10 Omnitrix watch, blanket, cushion, board game, Wii game, book, pjs, boxer short and characters, some building blocks, another Wii game, air rockets, Hot Wheels cars, a Ben 10 Alien Force car from Nanny, and of course the both got their Darrell Lea nougat puddings and some sweets.  Mum and Dad forgot to bring all their presents would you believe!  Di will bring them with her on Saturday so it will be like Christmas all over again!  I helped Dad buy Mum a beauty case and she bought him a book as his present was one of the ones left at home!  I had Dad in the family "Kris Kringles" so he got a Andre Rieu triple DVD!

So it was great in that respect but more so just being together.  Taylor was awake ALL NIGHT with excitement (and wanting to see Santa) so Chris and I had no sleep, I was the walking dead on Christmas Day, it was amazing I remembered everything!!!  I slept for 2 hours in the sunroom in the afternoon LOL!

Finally, here are my last photos from my photo challenge - a spider on the deck that had spun a huge and beautiful web; the lit Christmas tree with presents beneath; Dad taking photos of me taking photos of him!; the kids with their prezzies; the finished table centrepiece

SO I DECIDED TO ORGANISE A CRUISE!

A scrapbooking cruise!  In 2010 - see my new blog at www.leisurecraft.blogspot.com (the link is to the right there) and find out all about it!

AND SINCE THEN?

We had a quiet new year and worked in the garden til late.  It was a lovely day and apart from nearly breaking my toe (well, it feels like it!) it was terrific!  I took this photo of our weeping maple against the blue sky.  We watched the 9pm fireworks from Sydney Harbour on the telly (I can't believe it is a whole year since we were there on the boat!!) then the kids went to bed and we weren't far behind!

Today another quiet day and thanks to my dear friend Virginia I have written up a list of goals to achieve this year.  Why not give it a try?  Fifty (achievable) goals for 2009!
