Captain Jack has Returned!

Just sharing a couple of photos of Tay all dressed up for a birthday party today! It was a "C" party so we decided we could pull together a respectable Captain Jack Sparrow with the help of some bits and bobs we picked up for a few dollars at the shops yesterday. Even still, I was absolutely thrilled with the result after a quick 10 minute dress up and a dash of eyeliner pencil! Her friend Maddie said she looked just like her Dad and looking at the close-up here I have to agree - too scary!

Ronin also had a party and in the short time it took for me to shoot back home and do the Captain Jack makeover the poor little guy got whomped in the nose on the Jumping Castle by a big kid and got a blood nose. It didn't phase him and one of the other Mums did the mop up, after all he seems to get whacked in or more often manages to bang that nose on floors, walls and whatever or whomever else is handy on a regular basis. It has a big bruise on it now and I think he will be the only kid starting Preschool next year with a nose like Joe Bugner!!

Congratulations to Chris who in Sydney this mornng got his boat driver's licence so soon we can head out for a cruise of the harbour in our "time-share" luxury cruiser - too cool!

And a sad night on Friday night when my beloved Collingwood was pipped at the post by a measly 5 points, less than a kick, by the Minor Premiers Geelong in the AFL Preliminary Final. What an amazing match, we met them and tested them and they were lucky to get past us. Well done guys! I am so proud. Looking forward to next year now! Anyway I'll stick my Victorian head out and pick the Cats for the Premiership, should be a good Grand Final next week.

I had a fabulous time with my newsletter layouts for The Scrap Heap, which was sent out today, especially the Top Ten theme. I chose to scrap my top ten travel destinations and it was terrific to relive those trips that made my list! Check them out in my online gallery HERE .

Go Australia in the Rugby World Cup (v. Fiji tonight), in the 20 Twenty cricket and in the Davis Cup tonight as well. Aussie Aussie Aussie oi oi oi!

Bye - Trace xx
