What a great holiday we had in Fiji! We stayed at the gorgeous Sonaisali Island Resort about 25 minutes drive from Nadi in a huge high-ceilinged beachfront family bure. We arrived late, in the dark, on Saturday night, starting our adventure on the little boat that ferried us across the lagoon separating the island from the mainland. We were dropped at our new home and were more than thrilled with the two big bedrooms, loungeroom and huge deck where we sat and ate our room service dinner that night. But not as thrilled as when I awoke in the morning to walk out and see the magnificent view of sand, palm trees and ocean and feel the warm breeze! We spent days lazing by the pool, swimming, snorkelling and playing there, eating lunch, icecreams and sipping drinks there, reading, listening to iPods, doing puzzles and meeting friends there! Oh, we also lazed at our bure, had a ride on the pedal boats, ate meals in the poolside restaurant, attended a Fire Walking Ceremony, made new friends and Tay also hung out at the Kid's Club! It was sad to come back! The kids were brilliant on the planes and well behaved throughout, Ronin had a few meal problems but we soon mellowed out about that! I am sharing a few photos from the week, I hope you enjoy!
I can't wait to scrap some of my pics so no doubt you will see some appearing here and in my gallery over the next few weeks! We are off to Sydney this weekend to meet up with the lovely Diana and suave Peter and their two lovely boys Callum and Ben from Shropshire as they travel around the world on their wonderful holiday! One of the best things to come out of our holiday was meeting these fun and fabulous new friends!
Hope you all enjoyed your week too!
