It's been a busy couple of days for my boy. Yesteday I was called once again to collect him early from pre-Preschool as he was "disruptive". Now, if he gets too rough and hurts another child, as happened the other time, I don't mind coming to get him. If he is upset or hurt, of course I'm there in a flash. But to be honest, I'm a bit annoyed with this. I know he is boisterous and sometimes defiant. I know not all 3 year olds are like him. He likes to do things his own way and sometimes woe betide those that stand in his way. This is one of the
reasons I put him into 3yo preschool, so he would be more acclimatised before hitting Preschool next year. Surely they are equipped to deal with a child that says "No" and doesn't want to toe the line? I pay a LOT of money for him to be there, I would expect they would be trained to handle this. Anyway, I went and got him, he was gutted to be going home early, and cried and cried, I felt horrible, but anyway... They suggested we try shorter sessions as perhaps the sessions were too long. I disagree. They seemed to imply he only mucked up at the end of the day, when in fact in this instance it was in the middle. I don't want to punish him, which is how we have now
educated him to see an early pick-up, even when he is good, I think we will confuse him and by avoiding the most difficult part of the day for him, which apparently is play time, he is not learning to deal with it. Also, I pay over $10 an hour for these classes so would not be happy to be "shortchanged" on them. I'm going to suggest we continue to use early pick-up as a punishment for extremely
and behaviour, such as hitting, but if he doesn't improve by the end of term (remembering we have only had two days back this term!!!) I am going to remove him, assuming he is not ready for preschool yet. This would be a shame because as they tell me, he loves it there, he loves literacy and puzzles, story time, arts and craft, music and dancing and all the kids love him (parents are always telling me!). We'll see how it all goes.

And then there is the food. SHOCK! Yesterday he ate CARROT! and CHEESE! It is his new favourite! And HAM! And tonight he ate PIZZA and spicy chicken kickers from Dominoes! We're trying him on pasta tomorrow - cross fingers!

Finally, today he started Under 4yo Peewee Soccer! As you can see by the pics, he had a ball! They blew the whistle and he left them all in the dust, wondering what to do, as he shot off with the ball. They soon followed as he dribbled the ball right off the pitch into the pitch beside them where another game was in progress ROFL!!! Seriously, it was all so cute and funny! Lots of mummy-cuddle and kiss-boo-boo breaks for the little tackers in response to falls, clashes and just plain being overwhelmed! Lots of wandering around aimlessly dreaming of FA Cup Finals, or maybe chocolate frogs and Thomas the Tank Engine! Lots of staring off into space, picking noses and moving the witches hats aroun
d as the coach explained the finer points of football! (Sorry I had to blank out faces as I don't have permission to use their little faces!).

(Sorry I had to blank out faces as I don't have permission to use their little faces!).In other news, Taylor's turn to shine next week as she performs at the Belconnen Market with her dance school performance troupe. She currently has her best friend over for a sleepover and along with Ronin they are watching "Night at the Museum" on the big screen.

Chris has moved into his new business premises and is right now sorting out his old home office into a study-cum-train set/slot car room.
As for me, I've done little scrapping this week, but did a few last weekend, which I'll share here as they have already appeared in The Scrap Heap Newsletter and I'm also going to share a sneak peek of what you can create with my Inspiration Team Kit for May now available over at The Scrap Heap!
Finally Happy Birthday to my lovely Mum, Val, (and of course to Uncle Sid, her twin brother!). Good luck at the trots tomorrow night Mum! Love you!

How cute is your little dude in his soccer shorts....
and I totally understand how peeved you are with the teachers at preschool...unfortunately it doesn't matter how old the kids get, you come across some teachers that have their own way of handling things..which don't always seem to match your way of doing things....good luck with getting that sorted out.
