I just watched BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN! OMG, what a fantastic movie! I bawled in the end, and my heart is still sore! Just a fabulous love story, amazing acting, beautiful scenery, flawed, believeable characters, you could just FEEL for them through it all. After the start, you forgot they were two men, it was heartwrenching. Both the male leads (Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal) gave performances worthy of awards, as did Michelle Williams as the long-suffering wife of Heath's character. Chris headed off to the coast to swim with fishies today. He practiced by stroling about the house last night in his wetsuit, giving truth to the rumour that wetsuits should only be seen underwater beneath layers of scuba gear, or in scaled down versions on Halle Berry. His brother Jason and wife Rebecca popped in after a night at the Hyatt and evening attending a Billy Connolly performance. They raved about it, said it was hysterical! Bec has been quite ill, she has Whooping Cough, aparrently there is an epidemic of it in adults at the moment as the childhood immunisation eventually wears off. It is quite frightening when you can't breathe, and it can drag on for months and months, leaving you tired and exhausted even when not coughing. http://www.whoopingcough.net/
Tay is still complaining of pains in her chest and got very angry with anyone who made her laugh as that's what hurt most! Oh dear, we couldn't win with her today! Docs on Monday I think!
Had a bit of a scrapathon today, I had a bit of a creative streak and completed 4 layouts. I've included one I did of Taylor doing a bit of art work out the back. I love the to picture of her, she looks so pretty and happy. I used my Heidi Swapp mask and some paint and some great Scenic Route chipboard stuff I picked up from my friend Ainslee today (she runs a store out of home).Oh well, I'm off to bed to dream....mmm, well Heath and Jake are both so gorgeous and lonely and hearbreaking in that movie, but the subject matter doesn't really lend itself to romantic fantasies (for a woman anyway LOL!).
