Welcome to my little corner of cyberspace! Pop in to find out what is going on in and around my life. Let me introduce you to the characters in this tale:
Me - My name is Tracey, Trackles to some demented family members (I think I have an old boyfriend to blame for that silly moniker!). I am a 42 year old woman, living in suburban Canberra (the National Capital of Australia!) with my One True Love, Chris, and our two delicous kiddlings, Taylor Rose (almost 9yo) and Ronin Peter (heading for 3yo) and Chris's Mum, Sandra, who recently moved in with us. I am a "Stay At Home Mum" who is an obsessed Scrapbooker and a proud member of The Scrap Heap Inspiration Team. I also love TV, reading, movies, travel, going to the gym, watching sport (especially my beloved Collingwood in the Australian Football League) and spending time with my family. I have also just started singing lessons!
Chris - My One True Love, he is 41yo and we have been together since 1991. He works from home and travels a lot with his business, a bit of an entrepreneur I suppose! He spends a lot time on his new obsession, scuba diving, and has over 70 dives up since starting in January 2005. He loves to do things around the home, some landscaping, carpentry, home handywork and he will deck anything that can be decked! He likes to play on his computer, watch movies and enjoys "Lost" and "NCIS" on TV, but would drop anything to spend time with our family.
Taylor - our teenager-wannabe, she is in Year 3 at school and doing well. She loves dancing and takes classes in ballet, jazz and street funk, is part of a Performance Troupe and also takes singing lessons. She loves playing with her friends, watching movies, playing SIMS games on her PC, or Nintendogs on her DS and playing with her Bratz dolls! She loves to read including "Tashi" and "Geronimo Stilton" and "The Chronicals of Narnia". She has a weird compulsion to say "No" to everything I tell her to do, but we are getting over that with a Star Chart and threats to send her to boarding school!
Ronin - our rambunctious toddler, frequently covered with unexplained bruises and splinters from his many backyard adventures, often involving our dogs, the playground and throwing rocks over the fence! He has just started water-awareness lessons and attending Play Group and will hopefully get into a toddler gym class soon. He has atrocious eating habits and a new no. 3 all-over buzz-cut that makes him look more like his Daddy than ever (and he was already the spitting image!). He loves dinosaurs, trucks, cars, planes and especially trains, The Incredibles, Pooh and Tigger, "Little Einsteins" and "Harry and his Bucketful of Dinosaurs", doing art and building things, especially when helping Daddy "fix" things!
Sandra - Chris's Mum is a great housekeeper and my new ironing lady! She loves to watch DVDs, especially scary ones, and is crazy about all the "CSI"s on TV, playing computer card games, and going to the club for a spot of socialising and a quick play on the pokies. She is a great mother and grandmother, likes to knit and is interested in craft.
Obi and Boo - our Beagle Babies, Boo is our big girl, almost 4yo, she snores like a big fat drunk old man, likes to climb up the playground and slip down the slide and is terrified of storms, and Obi is our baby boy, almost 9 months old and as big as Boo, he has an annoying howly-bark, chews anything left unattended for more than 30 seconds and likes to sit in the sandpit.
So that's us! I don't know what I might write about, I'm looking forward to having a bit of fun and sharing my days with my family and friends!
