Life gets in the way

I would like to sit in my clean craft room and be inspired by all my fabulous photos and craft supplies and create something unique and wonderful.
I would like to take my camera outside and capture the essence of my world for my One Little Word project.
I would like to go for a long walk around the lake in the sunlight, listening to Keith Urban on my iPod.
I would like to sit and browse through all the fabulous blogs on my GoogleReader and become inspired by life and art.
I would like to have a long scented bath and have an early night!
I would like to find time to read the selection of books on my nightstand that I am already part-way through, especially the ones I'm supposed to discuss at book club in two weeks!
I'd like to find time to make cards for the card swap with my craft group this weekend!
I would like to sit and have a lovely cup of Stockholm Blend tea and a nice chat with my friend.
I would like to find a quiet corner with my laptop and write some more of my novel.

But I can't do any of this because it is that horrid time of year - TAX TIME!  So I have spent the past couple of weeks filing and archiving and getting all the tax documentation off to the accountant and today I am helping Chris do his as well.  And I actually have had work to do today for the business.  And I have used all available creative time to sit at my very messy desk and scrap more of our so-very-overdue 2008 Europe trip album, or on photoshop editing the photos for it.

This is what happens when you are Queen of the Procrastinators!  I keep putting things off until they become overdue and urgent.  But this year I did it straight away and soon the tax and filing will be done and there will be a huge sense of accomplishment, and more time to start on that list up there!

Cheers,

Tracey xx
