Working for the Weekend
After seeing the state of the yard on Sunday when the kids and I did a big clean-up after the dogs, I decided it would be a good idea to have a bit of a yard clean up day this weekend. But Chris had other plans, plans that sounded to me a lot more exciting than a yard working bee! First idea was taking the kids to Tassie for a 3 or 4 day weekend. We worked out the itinerary, checked the flights and decided that it was just too expensive at this time. Next idea was to head up the coast to watch the whales, and have a nice relaxing weekend in a country cottage. But the weather is not looking good for the weekend and we were having trouble getting the accommodation that we wanted. And so, we have decided a weekend at home is what it will be. Yes, the yard looks like it will get it's day, although the weather looks iffy, but we are also going to go out for dinner and have a movie night at home. We asked the kids where they'd like to go for dinner and surprise surprise, they said "Hogs Breath". It has become our favourite night out in recent times, and once again coincidentally, I was at that very moment creating a layout for Scrap The Girls, where the August challenge required a layout about our messy girls and the use of a "messy" technique such as inking or painting. I had chosen these 2 photos taken on my iPhone of Taylor at Hogs Breath eating ribs, or should I say wearing them? My technique is the "Coffee Shop" Glimmermist representing the saucy mess on my saucy girls' face!
Today it's another raining, windy, cold day so before I get stuck into the ironing, I'm creating another layout, which I'll share tomorrow. Thanks for dropping in!
Cheers!
