Mothers Day & Heading Away!

Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful Mums out there (especially mine - hi Mum!)in all their incarnations - Mothers, Grandmothers, Stepmothers, Mothers-to-be and Mothers in planning! Hope you all had a WONDERFUL day! I was woken by my wonderful kids with kisses and cuddles and a bottle of Kylie darling perfume - how lovely! Then we went and gave Sandra her prezzies before getting ready to pick up Chris from the airport and heading to the Rydges Capital Hill for a fabulous seafood buffet lunch (even Ronin ate some - prawns, garlic potato, corn, and a HUGE chocolate cupcake!). What a lovely day!

Actually, it was a lovely weekend, even though Chris was in Melbourne, with Ronin having a ball in his second soccer session (although he seemed more interested in his shadow than the ball!) and Taylor performng at the Belconnen Markets for Dance Week. Her Canberra Dance School troupe performed "Love Shack" in truly spectacular style, I was so proud of her - the Eisteddfods this year should be brilliant!

I have only scrapped a couple of layouts for the newsletter this week, too busy getting everything ready for my Tuesday departure on my Mummy's getaway holiday! But I thought I would share this one with you (it should be in the current Scrap Heap Newsletter!) in honour of Mothers Day!

And I'll also share a little sneak peek of my IT Kit available at The Scrap Heap (see link to the right). This kit is full of yummy Fancy Pants Key Lime Pie papers, Bella & Maya Road Chipboard and scalloped cardstock. It comes with everything you need to create a funky layout, altered coaster book and two cards (with heaps left over) including instructions and template!

Finally, pop over to the fantastic Scrap The Boys blog (link to the right)and check out some of my layouts and those of fellow ITers Debbie Yeomans and Debbie Bradley among the inspiring layouts by talented scrap artists showing there at the moment! The Debs and I are delighted to be contributors on this great site! And on the flipside, the lovely Kellie Hayes has set up a Scrap The Girls Blog too! I have a couple of my fave layouts of Taylor on the first post - go over and check out the fabulous girly layouts by some amazing scrap artists! And keep an eye out for future posts as my good friend and fellow ITer Chrissy Berry is also a contributor!

I will try to update while I'm away but in the meantime, Sayonara!
