We're almost organised for the Eisteddfod and today is Sequin Sewing Day, a tradition invented by sadistic dance teachers to punish mothers for ever putting their children in the darn competitions in the first place! I've got orange sequins to sew on the Ugly Bug costume (don't ask!) and pink sequins on the blue hot pants, halter and boot-spats for "Sesame Street" (continue not asking!). My dear and talented friend and neighbour Lizette is doing the beading on the classical ballet tutu and another of the mothers, Amy, made a fabulous costume for Taylor's Jazz Solo. Just have to do a bit of shopping tomorrow - hairnets, pins, hairspray (not "strong hold" or "extra hold" - we're going for "industrial cement hold"!), ballet shoe ribbons, back-up tights, and some bits and pieces for emergencies such as needle and thread, stapler, velcro, spare everythings and probably some super glue, olive oil, Valium and a Defribulator! Must be covered for every contingency!
On the scrapping front, I managed to get all my design team commitments met, but I've stalled a bit. I'm doing one now and then I might try some of the August Daily Challenges on The Scrap Heap (check out the forum!). I also thought I might try the dare on How Dare You - great Aussie site, great Aussie scrappers - I totally recommend you having a look-see at this Blog! Really love the layout on there by our lovely Juanita Walker! She is such a clever cookie! Also on scrapping, congrats to the lovely Chris Millar whose gorgeous layout of daughter Annaliese made the cover of the issue 45 of "For Keeps Creative Scrapbooking" magazine!

I really love this layout, an old photo of Ronin and I playing on the deck. This is using one of the August Aussles from The Scrap Heap, and appeared in the newsletter this yesterday. I was totally inspired by the fantastic new CK Idea Book by Elsie Flanagan "52 Scrapping Challenges". Elsie is a true inspiration to me, I love her attitude and style!
